It's available here

As the forumfolk know, the main themes of this comic (dumps and taxes) were suggested separately as jokes years ago. But I took them seriously. The "Something about Dumps and Taxes" project remained in my folder for more than a year, and after a couple of rewrites I decided that it can be turned into a full comic (Originally I was planning to insert a short dump scene in a larger story).

The story takes place in Snatchfield (see the map or the wiki page). I feel that most of the map remains unexplored, so why don't we expand our horizons a little. I imagine Snatchfield as a slightly larger city than Eville. It was once a huge industrial center, but now it is in a steady decline because the main focus of the economy shifted from manufacturing to female trade. (Eville, in comparison, continues to grow because of its slave-based economy)

The main character is Melanie Compter (forum/wiki), a college-educated, intelligent girl with a dark sense of humor. But more importantly, she is also a discarded sex slave. She is one of my favorite characters and I hope you like her as well.

This one has a lot of "realistic" images in it. Almost as many as BG8...

Half way through, had to pause the reading and go to work (so here I'am, working, well at least at work :D ). I must say I really like how we get to see how a hardened/experienced slave like Guttertramp is handling the world. Like her survival instincts and acceptance of what she have to endure to get by. And of course, the art gets better with each installment.

LOVED IT!!!! :D :D :D

Might even be my favourite ever! Love love love Melanie, such a brilliant character. So many great things and I really loved the "envelope stretching" the hints about the dog, the "culinary" thing, the quad amputee twins were all so cool. so nasty and so great! I hope we see more of this boundary pushing in future comics

i think i have a new second favorite!!!

to me - i enjoyed reading this one as much as i did the The Kennels because we got to see more of the e-verse outside the bounds we are used to

question erenisch? did you plan all this out as it pertains to a certain someone in character development or was it a tie-in story you thought of a year ago or so?

anyways though - great episode

thank you erenisch

No, that was included in the most recent rewrite.

Loved the clothes "thing", to have or have not, and the conspiracy theories coming with that. And, as always, fantastic T-shirts. Esp the red one! Not only the motif, which will be a classic (like the yellow one we can see on the clothes rack), but also how the red one is fitted on the hot little number. For me there's a difference between the fit of the white and the red one at the end of the comic. Is that a sought expression by the [ever developing] artist, or just an accidental optical effect when using dark vs pale shade?

This is another masterpiece, Erenisch. Congratulations on your unbelievable winning streak! :D

I'm so glad that I finally found a product that never disappoints..

I read it it only once. After another go I will write a more detailed review this comic deserves.

By the way you could call it "Ronin" if you know what I'm sayin'

I'm probably going to have more comments after a few re-reads but one thing I really love about Melanie's character is the more or less upbeat & sarcastic attitude she has when contrasted against the myriad depredations and degradation she suffers. It's a really appealing aspect of her character and it's nice that the upbeat part is not based in self-delusion. On the contrary she has a much more clearsighted understanding of her predicament than most and has a very practical way of dealing with it.

Funny you say that... Below is a snapshot of my original project file for "the Bottom". Check out what I wanted to call my main character initially. 8-)

Emma Ronin cheap trash, dirty cockney accent. What are you saying about our "beloved" Capital city?

(I agree by the way :D )

Heh! She was going to have a cockney accent but the last rewrite changed the character a bit. The new ending required her to have a college degree - hence the "received pronunciation" .D

Also, I got scared when I actually tried to "write" with a cockney accent.. That is real hard to do without making the reader cringe and squint every time Melanie speaks.

So instead you gave her a cocky attitude :P

Sounds tricky. How do one write an accent? Could you care to share some of your efforts with us?

In this world, that came out almost tender :)
Probably would have fitted better on a scene with Paul and Sherry, or Peter and Mags.
