Forgot to write about the Trudy issue.

I agree with the people who think that she is a proxy for Carol, or more accurately, high school Carol who dumped Paul after a couple dates. She is the twentieth Teasebitch and they serve roughly for a year, so this means Paul started hiring Carol lookalikes to punish right after she married whatshisname. Fishstick makes a good argument above, it is all about blueballing these poor girls.

But if we look at this from another angle, Trudy and her predecessors might symbolize somethng else altogether. Think about it, Paul has virtually hundreds, maybe thousands of women he can fuck. Literally they line up at his door. Maybe Paul uses Trudy as a reminder of the days he wasn't that lucky. Or she is just a self-control game for him. He makes them beautiful, as beautiful as his unattainable high school sweetheart, and then test his will by not touching them. This way he takes the power away from the high school Carol in his mind. A ritual that reminds him that it was not Carol who denied him happiness, it was him who didn't take it.

Wow, that sounded deep :P

I will read it again and again, I'm sure I'll be back with more to talk about.

You are too kind! And I look forward to discussing it more with you! There is so much going on in this comic that it almost feels impossible to discuss all of it. Each panel is full of details worth being examined and considered!

WARNING MORE SPOILERS FOLLOW.

For example, consider that the theme of "power in nakedness, vs weakness in clothes" permeates the whole story. Reaching its climax in Sherry's see-thru dress. At the beginning Aiko clings to the illusion of power by wearing clothes but the taxi cab driver lets go of the illusion, embraces her status as vulenerable and winds up being more powerful. This foreshadows Sherry doing the same thing. She shows up in the office wearing a business get-up which grants her the ILLUSION of power, but its a facade Holly takes it away and makes her wear the see-thru dress. At first Sherry is modest and embarssed which makes her weak compared to Holly. Notice Sherry's embarassed body language when the dress first turns see-thru.

But by the end of the comic Sherry has come to embrace her nakedness, and thus her vulnerability. She proudly stands naked, body language completely shifted, now confident, and in that moment she becomes powerful enough to have Holly beaten. In accepting her nakedness, her lack of overt power, Sherry transcends her status somewhat and comes up with a surprising level of "power." In a different way.

Themes! Its amazing what E pulled off here! There are so many conversations worth having on this comic!

I think I found a mistake

when Sherry is introducing herself to Holly for the first time she says "I'm Mrs. Stevenson". Shouldn't she call herself "Cunt Slutkitten" or "Sherry Slutkitten"? The law says so.

Meh, even if that is what the law says (and I am not sure about that) its the kind of thing Sherry would do. She's a prideful little thing. I don't think that counts as a mistake.

On an unrelated note, I agree that Trudy is a proxy for high school carol. Thats a very important distinction. She's not supposed to be Carol, only high school carol, specifically 18-19 year old carol. Once a Trudy gets to old to be that version of Carol, she is replaced. That has important implications for the now 39 year old Carol. She isn't high school Carol either. That will add a new an interesting level to Paul and Carol's relationship. Does he actually like the 39 year old Carol, or is he only fufilling his fantasy about the 18-19 year old Carol?

I agree with otherguy.

The law also says people should use turn signals when changing lanes...

(if it is a mistake it's Sherry's mistake not E's)

I also would like to take note of the fact that if you say "Eville Business Center" out loud it is "Evil Business Center"

(a happy accident I'm sure)

First of all, thank you everyone for your reviews. I really appreciate them. Reading the comments after a comic release is one of my biggest pleasures...

That is true, I'm certainly not uninfallible!

But yes,it was not a mistake. Sherry uses the word deliberately to emphasize that she is the wife- of the boss, downplaying the -slave part. That is why I used the Mrs form here. It is pronounced "missus", as in "say hi to the missus". The law specifies the short form "Ms." for freewomen, which is actually short for "masterless slut".

So, that one is not a mistake. But there are other mistakes in there; some are mine, and some caused by Dof's editing.

My biggest mistake (that I'm aware of) is on page 19-20. One of the managers is called Janson on page 19, and then Sanders on page 20. I don't know what the hell happened there, but it is definitely my screw-up. So, on the wiki page I tried to fix it by calling the guy Janson Sanders.

On page 16, in the panoramic panel, the wall clock shows 11:20 am. This is a mistake that would ruin Paul's schedule. It should be 7:55 am. The reason for the screw-up is that I flipped the panel horizontally at the last minute in order to better fit the text bubbles.

This is not really important, but there should be a box for the date on the FUC-sheet.

There are of course typos and awkward phrasing here and there, but there is one typo that might cause some trouble. On page 24, Kayla should say "avoid huge-dicked assholes". Unfortunately she says "void huge-dicked assholes" instead. That sounds more like a weird legal procedure about a weirder medical procedure.

Dofantasy editor missed a few typos, apparently because he or she was focusing on replacing all the instances of "r@pe" with the word "fuck". And that looks very random because some harmless rapes were changed into fucks, but some vicious ones remained.

They also corrected one of my jokes, probably because they assumed that it was a simple typo. On page 38, Sherry was supposed to say: "You shortened renegade to rennie? .. That's so stupie"... They changed the word stupie to stupid, like any decent automated spellchecker would. (Okay, I admit the joke stinks, I don't really blame them.)

Looks to me like it's Hendricks who turns into Sanders. :ugeek:

No matter how hard I try to keep typos and other glitches out of my work they seem to magically appear when I read it later.

I suspect it's a nasty joke your brain plays on you. You thought it correctly and the brain reads it as you thought it rather than as it actually appeared.

This leads to my contention that the brain is the body's most overrated organ. The rest of them more or less do what they're supposed to unless something goes wrong with them. The brain may be operating just fine and still calls attention to itself with these quirky little tricks.

Overall, I have a greater fondness for the liver. I'm not entirely sure what all it does but at least it doesn't screw up my writing.

The brain is absolutely the most important organ.

But then look which organ is telling you that... :D

Just finished the comic. since it's a few moments before I should go to sleep, I'll leave further thoughts for later, but I must say wow what a series of twists. I'm really liking Holly, and I like that she never will give them the satisfaction of thinking any of their statements are in any way confirmed. She doesn't even have thought bubbles about it. I'd like to think she saw this coming, and she knows she will do better to play it off later as it has changed nothing. And I like that she shares a lot of my views on the males of this world.

As with Sherry and Paul, I like that Sherry knows what is keeping her collared neck safe, but will probably get cockier. I like that she was taught a lesson hopefully by Holly, but I get the sense she lost it in the last few moments of that meeting, which kinda reminded me of the last few moments of the film Young Adult. No deep connection there, just both doing the similar thing at the end (Hey, this IS the spoiler tag)

And pretty much everything otherguy said.
Also heh floor 69. I missed that the first time
Heh the one guy working in the office with hand on boob

Totally accidental, as I have no idea what you are talking about.

For left-handed employees, the girl lies on the other side. 8-)
